After winning only three of 40 games in what was a disaster of a 2016-2017 season, Detroit Fighting Irish has mucked its way to a 10-9-1 record through 20 outings of the 2017-2018 campaign.

It has been a nice turnaround for the Detroit area program, which plays within the United States Premier Hockey League’s Midwest East Division.

The 10-9-1 record has the Fighting Irish in second place in its six-team division.

Peyton Hughes leads the Fighting Irish with 14 goals, 16 assists, 30 points. Trailing him are Josh Weber with 12-16-28 totals and Noah Reeser with 8-15-23 numbers.

Dean Buchholz leads the Fighting Irish goalies with seven victories to date.

Next home action for the Fighting Irish is the December 15-16 weekend, with a pair of matches against the Motor City Hawks at Brownstown Sports Center.
