Blind River to Sault College
Andrew Trowbridge is moving on from three full seasons with the Blind River Beavers of the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League to play for the Sault College Cougars effective the 2017-2018 campaign.
Sault College plays within the Division 3, American Collegiate Hockey Association.
A forward-turned-defenseman, Trowbridge is a Blind River area product who was a part of the Beavers dramatic turnaround from a winless season of two years ago to a team that made it to the NOJHL championship series this spring.
Beavers senior advisor and scouting director Charly Murray is a big fan of Trowbridge.
“Andrew is a great young man who made the transition to defense as a necessity early in the season. He really came into his own and being a senior on the team he led by his determination on the ice and his team-first attitude in the dressing room.
“He stayed with the Beavers through the horror years which showed his dedication to the team and the community. Great kid and am very proud of Andrew and what he added to our team and organization. Sault College is getting a great young man,” Murray told HockeyNewsNorth.com.

I have watched you play hockey since Midget, always
giving it your all.
When I was on the Beaver board and a volunteer you were always the first
one in the dressing room.
Always willing to help and do what you could to better this team
I know you always wanted to play for the Beavers.
And by gosh you did, through thick and thin, and what a difference did you make.
I am so glad that your last year was a winning one.
You were my favorite through it all.
