MacKay drafted in 5th round
Right winger Cole MacKay has been picked by the hometown Soo Greyhounds in the fifth round of today’s Ontario Hockey League minor midget draft.
A Sault Ste. Marie product, MacKay headed south to play at the minor midget level for the Kitchener Jr. Rangers this past season.
In 32 regular-season games for Kitchener, the 5-foot-10, 170-pound MacKay scored 30 goals.
