Making just his third appearance with the Drummondville Voltigeurs since signing with them about six weeks ago, David Bowen has his first win in the Quebec Major Jr. Hockey League.

The 19-year old goalie made 30 saves as Drummondville upended the Quebec Remparts 7-2 in QMJHL action from Wednesday. Of note, Quebec is coached by legendary former National Hockey League goalie Patrick Roy.

Bowen was starring for the Rayside Balfour Canadians of the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League when Drummondville signed him as a free agent in late October after he had cleared Ontario Hockey League waivers.

Bowen was impressive in five appearances with the Sudbury Wolves of the OHL over parts of two seasons prior to this one.
