AAA PW Hounds in finals
A victory in the fifth-and-deciding game of the semi-finals has put Soo Pee Wee Minor AAA Jr. Greyhounds into the Northern Ontario Hockey Association finals against the North Bay Trappers.
The Soo defeated the Nickel City Sons 4-1 on Wednesday to clinch the best-of-five set three games to two.
Griffen Albert, Brendan Cooke, Drew Allison and Nathan Guizzetti scored for the Soo and Corey Lacroix replied for Nickel City.
Thus, it will be the Soo and North Bay for the NOHA pee wee minor AAA championship. All players have 2007 birth dates.
The best-of-five series begins with Games 1 and 2 in Sault Ste. Marie this Saturday (6 p.m. at GFL Memorial Gardens) and Sunday (10:30 a.m. at John Rhodes Community Centre.)
