Showdown in NA3HL East
The race for the fourth-and-final playoff spot in the East Division of the North American 3 Hockey League will be decided this weekend.
Toledo Cherokee currently holds down fourth place with 46 points from a record of 20-20-6. Right behind Toledo are the Metro Jets with 42 points from a record of 20-24-2.
The two teams will meet in a home-and-home series this weekend that will conclude the NA3HL regular season.
All Toledo needs is a single point to clinch fourth place.
For Metro, a pair of regulation-time victories will give it the fourth-and-final playoff spot by virtue of the Jets having more wins than Toledo.
Game times are 7 p.m. Friday night in Toledo and 7:50 p.m. Saturday night in Waterford, home of the Jets.
