Donnie Bruni, a former Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League goalie with the Blind River Beavers, is moving up in the Canadian Football League business world.

A Sault Ste. Marie native, the 32-year old Bruni recently joined the CFL’s Hamilton Tiger-Cats as a business development account manager.

Bruni, who studied sports management and business at Lake Superior State University, spent the four seasons prior to this one in a similar capacity with the CFL’s Toronto Argonauts. He has a Grey Cup ring from his time with the Argonauts.

Besides being a goalie of note in the NOJHL and having also played in the Ontario Jr. Hockey League and Greater Ontario Jr. Hockey League, Bruni was a championship netminder at the high school level in Sault Ste. Marie.
