Team NOHA, representing the Northern Ontario Hockey Association and made up of players from the Great North Midget Hockey League, has improved its record to 2-1-0 at the OHL Cup tournament.

Shrugging off an early 2-0 deficit, Team NOHA rebounded for a 4-2 victory over the Toronto Red Wings of the Greater Toronto Hockey League today.

Jack Matier, Devon Savignac, Ethan Marois and Josh Kavanagh scored for Team NOHA, which plays its next game on Friday morning against the Mississauga Rebels.

Matier played for the Soo Minor Thunderbirds during the 2018-2019 season while Savignac, Marois and Kavanagh all suited up for Great North rival Sudbury Minor Wolves.

The OHL Cup — sponsored by the Ontario Hockey League — is being played in Toronto and features 20 of the top minor midget teams in North America.
