A fixture on Sault Ste. Marie radio station ESPN 1400 since 2010, the Hockey North Show with Randy Russon returns for another season tonight from 5-6 p.m.

The Hockey North Show will continue to focus on the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League, the Great North Midget Hockey League and the Ontario Hockey League, as well as area teams from other organizations.

Little Caesars of Sault, Ontario returns as the major sponsor of the HNS, which this season will be broadcast live from Broer’s Jansen Wine Barrel, which is located at 674 Queen St. E., across from Muio’s Restaurant. (Muio’s returns as another long-time sponsor of the HNS.)

All in all, the 2019-2020 version of the HNS is slated to run through until the end of April.

Tonight’s guests on the initial edition of the HNS for this season will include Little Caesars franchise owner Mike Flammia, general manager Bruno Bragagnolo of the NOJHL’s Soo Eagles, and Jamie Henderson, who is the head coach of the newly-named Soo Jr. Greyhounds of the GNMHL.

And stopping by to talk OHL, including the Soo Greyhounds, will be Brad Coccimiglio. Coccimiglio, who is the sports editor for Soo Today, will share selected tidbits from his trusted hockey notebook.
