Major road trip
A number of mothers of players on the Timmins Majors of the Great North Midget Hockey League accompanied the team on a weekend road trip to Sault Ste. Marie that began on Friday.
Along with invited guests Kevin Cain of Cain Hockey Management and Randy Russon (and his wife, Mary) of Hockey News North, the group of hockey moms had Friday night supper at Solo Trattoria before heading across the street to GFL Memorial Gardens to watch their Timmins boys play the Soo Major Thunderbirds.
The hockey moms weekend was planned by chief party organizer Allison Madden-Blais with assistance from several willing participants including Chris Belec, Natalie Picard-Cavalieri, Natalie Deforge, Luanne Brazeau, Charlene Dupuis, Nicky Martin, Nancy Daigle, Nicole Dubeault, Kristi Couture and Natalie Levesque.
