Saginaw Spirit has acquired well-traveled, 2000 birth-year goalie Marshall Frappier in an Ontario Hockey League trade with the Kingston Frontenacs.

Frappier has played parts of two OHL seasons since originally being drafted by the Sudbury Wolves. He was traded by Sudbury to Kingston during the 2018-2019 OHL season.

In all, Frappier has played in 42 OHL games.

Between his OHL stints with Sudbury and Kingston, Frappier also tended twine for the French River Rapids of the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League.

Saginaw has sent a future 10th-round draft pick to Kingston for Frappier.

Just last week, Saginaw obtained overage (1999 birth year) goalie Nick Donofrio from the Hamilton Bulldogs. Donofrio, though, was subsequently released by Saginaw without playing a game.
