Beavers to Wolves

Sudbury Wolves made a startling selection in the 10th round of today’s Ontario Hockey League draft. In a process that is designed for players born in 2002, the Wolves opted for 2000 birth year centre Owen Robinson from the Blind River Beavers of the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League.

Robinson played in 51 regular-season games for Blind River in 2017-2018 and netted 22 goals, 34 assists, 56 points.

A native of Orangeville, Ont., the 6-foot, 170-pound Robinson then followed up with 2 goals, 6 assists, 8 points in 8 playoff games.
