T-Birds home to Express
Soo Thunderbirds and Espanola Express will begin a four-games-in-six-days series tonight when the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League cohort rivals meet in a 7 p.m. match at John Rhodes Community Center.
The two teams are returning to action for the first time in just over two weeks after beginning the 2020-2021 regular season against other cohort opponents.
Espanola takes a record of 3-1-2 from six games against the French River Rapids into the series against the Soo, which has a 1-2-1 mark from four outings versus the Blind River Beavers.
Following tonight’s game in the Soo, the two teams will meet again on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. at the Rhodes Center.
The Express will then play host to the Thunderbirds this Saturday and Sunday afternoon in 2 p.m. starts at the Espanola Regional Recreation Complex.
