Express route to North Bay
As we were first to report via Twitter, North Bay Battalion of the Ontario Hockey League has gone to the Espanola Express of the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League to obtain 1997 birth-year goaltender Logan Sawka.
Battalion coach-general manager Stan Butler and Express director of hockey operations Randy Blake both confirmed to HockeyNewsNorth.com that Sawka will join North Bay on loan from Espanola.
With both of its goalies injured, the Battalion was forced to address its net situation ahead of three upcoming games beginning tonight against the Flint Firebirds.
