NOJHL pre-Christmas action

Eighteen games are on the slate between tomorrow (Dec. 15) and Dec. 23 as the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League has confirmed its second session of cohort opponents ahead of a Christmas break.

The schedule of games can be found via NOJHL.com.

Opponents, with their records to date in brackets, are as follows.

Espanola Express (3-1-2) v. Soo Thunderbirds (1-2-1), Blind River Beavers (3-1-0) v. Rayside Balfour Canadians (1-4-1), Timmins Rock (6-1-0) v. Hearst Lumberjacks (5-2-0) and Cochrane Crunch (2-4-1) v. Kirkland Lake Gold Miners (0-1-1.)

French River Rapids (3-3-0) will sit out this round of play while the Michigan Soo Eagles (border restrictions) and Powassan Voodoos (arena unavailability) have yet to play this season.

Scoring wise, seven players have tallied at least 10 points thus far.

They are Tyson Moore of Cochrane (3-12-15), Quinton Hill of Hearst (8-5-13), Levi Siau of French River (4-9-13), Josh Dickson of Timmins (5-7-12), Derek Seguin of Timmins (6-4-10), Ryan Hunter of Cochrane (5-5-10) and James Eng of Espanola (3-7-10.)

Top goalies include Ty Masternak of Timmins (5-0-0, 0.78, .964), Wyatt Courchaine of Blind River (2-1-0, 2.67, .920) and David Bowen of Rayside Balfour (1-3-1), 2.81, .916.)
