Two Soo boys pace Eagles
Canadian Soo products Jake Palmerio and Nick Trecroce dominated the score sheet tonight as Soo Eagles blanked Blind River Beavers in Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League playoff action.
Palmerio potted three goals and Trecroce assisted on four tallies as the Eagles blanked the Beavers 5-0 before more than 800 fans at Pullar Stadium in the Michigan Soo.
Kade Phipps stopped 22 pucks for the whitewash as the Eagles narrowed the Beavers lead to two games to one in the best-of-seven West Division final.
Game 4 in the set is slated for Friday night at 7:30 at the Pullar.
The winner of the series will meet the Powassan Voodoos for the NOJHL championship.
Powassan completed a four-game sweep of the Timmins Rock tonight with a decisive 7-2 triumph to win the East Division final.
