Soo Eagles via Aberdeen Wings
1996 birth-year forward Chris Murphy will suit up for the Soo Eagles of the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League after stints with two teams in the North American Hockey League.
The Eagles recently picked up the 6-foot-2, 190-pound Murphy after he was dropped by the Aberdeen Wings of the NAHL.
A Michigander and a product of the highly-regarded Belle Tire elite program, Murphy had 2 goals, 2 assists, 4 points in 15 games with Aberdeen. He had started the 2015-2016 season in the NAHL with the New Jersey Titans and had a goal and an assist in 5 games.
Murphy’s transfer to the Eagles was confirmed by his family advisor, David Maciuk of JDM Sports.
