Beware the Battalion
Don’t look now but the North Bay Battalion is climbing up the ranks of the Eastern Conference of the Ontario Hockey League.
Coach Stan Butler’s Troops have a 7-1-2 record over their last 10 games and are 6-0-1 in their last seven outings to vault from eighth place to sixth and within a single point of fifth in the Eastern block.
North Bay continued its winning ways an Thursday by spotting the Sudbury Wolves an early 3-0 lead and storming back for a 5-3 triumph to reach the .500 mark with a record of 19-19-6.
The Battalion missed the playoffs in 2016-2017 and was well below the .500 mark for most of 2017-2018 until it began to find range over the past 10 matches.
