Flint pots playoff spot
It’s official. After missing the Ontario Hockey League playoffs in their first season in Flint, the Firebirds are going to the dance.
Flint clinched a Western Conference playoff spot tonight by gaining a point from a 5-4 shootout loss to the Saginaw Spirit.
The seventh-seeded Firebirds now have 70 points from a record of 32-25-6 with 5 games to go in the 2016-2017 regular season.
Flint missed the OHL playoffs in 2015-2016 with 46 points from a record of 20-42-6.
So much drama last season. Glad things are more positive in Flint this year.
