Four points for Cam Baber
Rookie forward Camaryn Baber had the most prolific game of his young Ontario Hockey League career on Saturday night. The Sault Ste. Marie product assisted on four goals as the Saginaw Spirit cuffed the Kingston Frontenacs 7-1.
The win for Saginaw boosted its record to 41-15-5 and puts the Spirit two points up on the Soo Greyhounds in the race for second place in the Western Conference of the OHL. Both teams have seven games to play in the regular season.
As for Baber, the 2001 birth year center now has 6 goals, 13 assists, 19 points in 41 games of limited duty for Saginaw this season.
In last week’s game against the Hounds, the Spirit really looked like a team
that was ready for the playoffs……….unfortunately, the Soo did not.
