Historic start for Wolves
Winners of five straight games and with an overall record of 6-2-0 through eight outings, the Sudbury Wolves are off to their third best start in 48 years.
David Harrison, the venerable long-time statistician for the Ontario Hockey League Wolves, provided that information to Hockey News North relative to Sudbury’s sizzling start to the 2018-2019 season.
Previous best starts to an OHL season for the Wolves were a 6-1-1 record in 1994-1995, a 6-2-0 beginning in 1985-1986 and a 7-1-0 mark in 1975-1976.
