Three notable NOJHL moves
A tally of transactions at the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League trade deadline included several high performance players with links to the Ontario Hockey League.
Two time reigning champion Sudbury Cubs brought in a pair of players while the high ranking Timmins Rock also made a notable move.

• The Cubs acquired 2008 birth year defenseman Cole Wreggitt from the Soo Eagles in a cash exchange. The lanky defender played in 50 NOJHL games for the Eagles dating back to last season. Wreggitt was a fourth round pick by the Sudbury Wolves from the Under 16 level Soo Jr. Greyhounds at the 2024 OHL priority selections draft. He has skated in six games for the OHL Wolves.
• Sudbury also brought aboard 2005 birth year forward Noah Aboflan, who suited up in 38 games for the OHL and Memorial Cup champion London Knights in ’24-25. Aboflan also has extensive, previous NOJHL experience with both the Blind River Beavers and Elliot Lake Vikings.
• Timmins, which is in a torrid race for first place with Sudbury atop the NOJHL standings, obtained homegrown forward Edan Etheridge from the Elmira Sugar Kings of the Greater Ontario Hockey League in a cash deal. A 2008 birth year forward, Etheridge was picked by the Saginaw Spirit from the U18 level Timmins Majors in the 15th round of the 2024 OHL priority selections draft.
