Greater Sudbury product Anthony Bertrand is returning to the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League from the Central Canada Hockey League.

A 2007 birth year forward, Bertrand has been obtained by the NOJHL’s Espanola Paper Kings from the Nepean Raiders of the CCHL in a cash exchange. He had seven goals in 28 games for Nepean during the ’25-26 season.

Prior to that, Bertrand played in 75 NOJHL games for the Elliot Lake Vikings over two seasons, scoring 19 goals. He also appeared in three NOJHL games before that as an affiliate player for Espanola and had a goal and an assist in three outings with the Paper Kings.

Espanola general manager Marc Gagnon confirmed the acquisition of the 5 foot 8, 160 pound Bertrand to Hockey News North, noting that “we are looking forward to bringing back Bertrand to our line up full time. He was an AP with us a few years back. Anthony brings speed, skill and experience to us.”
