Tyler Pracek is off to his third head coach gig in as many seasons in the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League. The 33 year old Pracek has been hired as the new bench boss of the Powassan Voodoos after previous stints with both the Iroquois Falls Storm and Kirkland Lake Gold Miners.

Pracek takes the helm in Powassan from Peter Goulet, who recently departed the Voodoos after four seasons to take an assistant coach position with the Brantford Bulldogs of the Ontario Hockey League.

“We certainly were not short of quality candidates (to replace Goulet),” relayed Voodoos general manager Chris Dawson. “Ty certainly showed us he is the right fit for this new challenge in Powassan.”

Prior to coaching in the NOJHL, Pracek had short stints as an assistant coach with the Milton Menace of the Ontario Jr. Hockey League and the Under 18 Vaughan Kings of the Greater Toronto Hockey League.
