EL Vikings ink Sudbury lad
Elliot Lake Vikings of the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League have confirmed the signing of Sudbury product Landen Lake-Rego ahead of the looming ’26-27 season.
A 2009 birth year forward, the 6 foot 1 Lake-Rigo heads to Elliot Lake after playing with the Under 18 level Sudbury Jr. Wolves in ’25-26. He appeared in 42 league games for the U18 Wolves last season and had nine goals, 10 assists, 19 points.
“Landen is a strong two-way player who competes hard in all three zones and brings plenty of grit to his game. His combination of size, skill, and determination will be a valuable addition to our lineup. It is especially exciting for our organization to have a player from Sudbury choose to continue his hockey journey in Elliot Lake. Landen’s commitment speaks to the culture we are building,” Vikings president Jef Jarmovitch relayed to Hockey News North.
