67’s promote Jamie Henderson
Seasoned Sault Ste. Marie-based scout Jamie Henderson has been promoted to head of player development by the Ottawa 67’s of the Ontario Hockey League.
As part of his expanded role with Ottawa, Henderson will oversee the growth and support of 67’s prospects while working under general managerJan Egert. Henderson was initially hired by the 67’s as their Northern Ontario scout back in 2021.
Henderson confirmed his advancement with the 67’s to Hockey News North, noting that “yes, I am now head of player development along with scouting, with a focus on scouting as it relates to OHL players for trade purposes and free agents … United States Hockey League, North American Hockey League etc.”
Henderson has a lengthy association to high school, AAA minor and junior A hockey in his hometown of Sault Ste. Marie as a general manager, assistant general manager, head coach and assistant coach.
