Voodoos add to the front office
Marc Gagnon, who has spent the past several seasons as general manager of the Espanola Paper Kings, is staying in the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League in a newly created role with the Powassan Voodoos.
Gagnon, who is from Powassan, has signed on with the Voodoos as their associate general manager under GM Chris Dawson — and will also be the liaison to the nearby North Bay Battalion of the Ontario Hockey League. Gagnon is a regional scout for the OHL Battalion. The Voodoos are an affiliate team of the Battalion.
“This new role for Marc will create better synergy and strengthen the already strong relationship that we have with the Voodoos,” noted Battalion president of hockey operations Adam Dennis.
Gagnon is looking forward to the new liaison role.
“I will maintain strong communication between both organizations, monitor the progress and development of Battalion draft picks, provide feedback and support, and help identify players ready to take the next step in their hockey journey,” explained Gagnon. “The goal is to strengthen the development partnership between the two clubs.”

A great signing for a more than qualified individual. Congrats Marc
