EL Vikings add and subtract
As October came to a close the Elliot Lake Vikings of the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League made a series of player transactions with two leaving and two arriving.
Interestingly, the four players involved all have 2008 birth dates.
— The Vikings shipped defenseman Emilio Collard to the French River Rapids of the NOJHL.
— Elliot Lake also stayed within the NOJHL to deal forward Philippe Naef to the the Espanola Paper Kings.
— Vikings head coach and general manager Taurean White then obtained two forwards from the London Nationals of the Greater Ontario Hockey League — Chase Bailey-Reid and Aidan Gray.
Elliot Lake is currently in 10th place among the 11 teams of the NOJHL. The Vikings have a record of 3-9-2 and have lost four straight games.
On a brighter note, Elliot Lake is averaging 371 fans per game, which is fifth best in the NOJHL.
