Maruk’s Milton Cobras go local
Milton Battle Arts Cobras of the new Canadian International Hockey League have signed a pair of homegrown forwards.
Montana Kingsbury and Paul Knight are both 1997 birth-year skaters who were born and raised in Milton.
Both boys played on the All-Ontario, major bantam champion Milton Winterhawks two years ago.
Kingsbury played the 2013-2014 season season for the Oakville Rangers AA midgets and had 18 points in 22 games.
Knight played for the Flamborough AA midgets in 2013-2014 and had 23 points in 32 games.
The Battle Arts Cobras are coached by 58-year old Dennis Maruk, a former Ontario Hockey League star with the London Knights who went on to play in more than 900 National Hockey League games and once scored 60 goals in a single season for the Washington Capitals.
