Cohort competitors confirmed

The next round of regular season play within its West Division has been scheduled by the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League.

In new, head to head, cohort matches that will take them to a Christmas break, Espanola Express and Soo Thunderbirds will face off against each other four times and the Blind River Beavers and Rayside Balfour Canadians are slated to do the same.

All four teams will return to play on Tuesday, December 15 after more than the mandated shutdown of 14 days as per public health guidelines.

Espanola will return to play in first place in the five-team West Division with eight points from a record of 3-1-2. The Express played its first six games of the season against the French River Rapids, who will be idle during the upcoming set of December contests.

The Soo, on the other hand, has a record of 1-2-1 to date, having played its first four games of the season against Blind River.

As for the Beavers, they will take a record of 3-1-0 into its four-game showdown with Rayside Balfour. The Canadians have a record of 1-4-1 to date from six games against the Timmins Rock of the NOJHL’s East Division.

Following are the upcoming slate of games featuring Espanola v. Soo and Blind River v. Rayside.
