He’s a high scoring Horgan

Sudbury Cubs defenseman Spencer Horgan has become the highest scoring blue liner in the history of the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League. With 212 points in 163 regular season games in the NOJHL, Horgan has gone ahead of Noel Caya, who played for the erstwhile Rayside Balfour Canadians from 1981 to 1986.

In becoming the NOJHL’s top scoring defender, Horgan’s 163 points include 66 goals and 146 assists. He has played in 54 NOJHL games for Sudbury after appearing in 109 for the Espanola Paper Kings.

At 5 foot 11, 175 pounds with a 2005 birth date, Horgan has also appeared in 26 NOJHL playoff games to date and has 12 goals, 27 assists, 39 points.

Horgan, who hails from Bowmanville, has also appeared in six Ontario Hockey League games for the Sudbury Wolves.
