It will be the upstart no. 7 seed Soo Eagles against the no. 1 seed Sudbury Cubs in a best of seven, Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League semi-final series. The Eagles stunned the no. 2 seed Powassan Voodoos in four straight games in the opening round while the Cubs did the same to the no. 8 seed Kirkland Lake Gold Miners.
