T-Birds tag another Doucette
Oh, brother.
Soo Thunderbirds of the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League have signed 2001 birth year defenseman Jacob Doucette, Hockey News North has confirmed.
Doucette will join his younger brother, 2004 birth year forward Tyson Doucette, in the Thunderbirds lineup when the NOJHL begins the 2020-2021 season in November.
The older Doucette becomes the 13th local product to sign with the Thunderbirds ahead of the looming the NOJHL season.
He has prior NOJHL experience of 63 games over two seasons with the Espanola Express, totaling one goal, nine assists, 10 points while racking up 89 minutes in penalties.
