The 6 foot 4, 210 pound Kostov is in his second full season in Flint after being obtained by the Firebirds in a major trade deadline transaction with the Soo Greyhounds during the ’23-24 OHL campaign. Through 16 games that he has played in thus far into the ’25-26 OHL season, Kostov leads Flint in goals with 14 and points with 23.

And now, in his fourth OHL season, Kostov has become an impact player for Flint, which has won seven of its past 10 games and takes a record of 11-6-1 into play this week as one of six contending teams within the hotly contested Western Conference of the OHL.
