300 OHL games for Mignosa
Marco Mignosa has achieved a regular season milestone that only one other player in the 54 year Ontario Hockey League history of the Soo Greyhounds has managed to do.
That is, the Hounds’ overage forward has now skated in 300 OHL regular season games — all of them with the Red and White of Sault Ste. Marie. Mignosa hit the 300 game mark for the Greyhounds last week in Flint against the Firebirds.
The only other player to ever appear in 300 or more regular season games for the Greyhounds is Mike Oliverio. A local product, Oliverio played five full seasons for the Greyhounds beginning in 1983.
Oliverio is now the Sault Ste. Marie based head scout for the OHL’s Flint Firebirds.
