Sudbury Nickel Capitals stole one from the Pembroke Lumber Kings today in an Under 18 Division match at the annual Big Nickel Hockey Tournament. And it was Sault Ste. Marie product A.J. Borrelli who stood tall in net for Sudbury.

The 16-year old Borrelli, who left the Soo to play for Sudbury in the Great North Under 18 Hockey League this season, made a slew of big stops in regulation time and made a highlight reel, quick hand glove save in the shootout as the Nickel Capitals edged Pembroke by a 4-3 margin.

Pembroke held a wide edge over Sudbury in shots on goal but Borrelli held the fort and his Nickel Capital teammates rallied for the victory.
