High-scoring defenseman Mitchell Devins-Cann is moving on from the Bradford Bulls of the Greater Metro Jr. Hockey League to the Sault College Cougars of the American Collegiate Hockey Association, Hockey News North has confirmed.

The 6-foot-2, 200-pound Devins-Cann was Bradford’s captain in 2018-2019 and scored 55 points from his blue-line position. He has a 1997 birth date.

Devins-Cann heads to a Sault College program which won the ACHA Division 3 national championship in 2018-2019. The Cougars have since been elevated to the Division 2 level effective the 2019-2020 campaign.

In other Greater Metro news, Bradford Rattlers head coach Ric Jackman and general manager Sean Werth have both re-signed with that league team for the upcoming season.

The 41-year old Jackman is a former all-star defenseman with the Soo Greyhounds of the Ontario Hockey League. Jackman went on to play 238 games with a number of National Hockey League teams.

Jackman was the coach of the year in the Greater Metro loop for the 2018-2019 season.
