Calem Mangone is home in Sault Ste. Marie for the Christmas holiday break. And the rookie right wing sensation with the Saginaw Spirit of the Ontario Hockey League helped to spread some holiday cheer to an under 11 team in the Soo.

Mangone made a guest appearance at a recent practice of the under 11 Prouse Motors Rangers of the Soo Pee Wee Hockey League. Prouse Motors is coached by Mangone’s uncle, Ryan Barsanti.

Mangone helped out at the practice, took a few shots on goal and then posed for a team picture with members of the U11 Rangers.

After being bypassed at the 2020 OHL priority selections draft, the 17-year old Mangone became a first round pick by Saginaw at the 2021 OHL under 18 supplemental draft.

And the 5-foot-8, 160 pound Mangone has been a rookie standout for Saginaw through 25 games of the 2021-2022 season. He has seven goals, 11 assists, 18 points and is tied for fourth on the Saginaw scoring chart.
