I-75 highway rivals, the Michigan Warriors and Soo Eagles will meet for a pair of key North American Hockey League games tonight and Saturday.

The Warriors will play host to the Eagles in 7 p.m. games both nights at Perani Arena and Event Centre in Flint.

Both teams are part of a hotly-contested North Division of the NAHL.

The second-place Eagles are just a point out of first in the six-team North with a record of 7-7.

With 14 points, the Eagles are just two ahead of the fourth-place Warriors, who have 12 from a record of 6-7.

Coach Moe Mantha’s Warriors are hot, having won five of their last six games.

A pleasant surprise for the Warriors thus far this season has been their play back of the blueline featuring rookie goalie Ryan Wischow and first-year defencemen Andrew Barbeau and Ryan Burr.
