Game star goalies
The annual Soo Pee Wee Hockey League extravaganza tournament began on Thursday and will continue throughout the weekend at local rinks.
One of the highlights of opening day action was a novice major tier 1 match between local rivals Martineau Masonry and DK Designs that ended in a 0-0 tie.
Both goalies, Owen Whitehead of Martineau Masonry and Ben Clayton of DK Designs, were given game star awards for their shutout performances.
I had the privilege of watching Owen play a couple weeks back. Great goalie skills! Congrats to both boys.
