Great North showdown tonight
It has all come down to one game to decide the second-round, best-of-five, Great North Midget Hockey League playoff series between the Soo Thunderbirds and North Bay Trappers.
The two teams will face off tonight at 7 p.m. at John Rhodes Community Centre in Sault Ste. Marie.
Home ice has been a factor in the series to date.
The Soo won the first two games at home and North Bay responded in kind in the next two to tie the series.

It should be noted that the Birds shot 109!!!!! shots during their game 4 loss. 109 shots, 107 saves!! Wow!
Colton Point, OHL draft pick of the Erie Otters, is the Trappers goalie of note.
Colton made TSN!!!! What exposure for him, North Bay and the GNML. Congrats COLTON!!! I hope the GNML or the NBTraps or the Thunderbirds are live tweeting the game, I for one would like to keep tabs on what I.M.O could be the best playoff game in all of the North (Yes Im including Teir II jr too)
Predictions Anyone?!?!?!?!
RR What is your thoughts for the outcome of the much anticipated G5
My thoughts? One-goal game, maybe OT.
T-Birds win 3-2 in 2nd OT on goal by Zach Senecal.
