Here’s to the Alliston Coyotes
Not only are the Alliston Coyotes of the Greater Metro Jr. Hockey League winning games, they are doing so in resounding fashion.
The Coyotes are off to their best start in franchise history with a record of 6-0, which has them atop the 11-team Central Division.
But what is astounding is the fact that Alliston has scored 59 goals in the six games while allowing 18.
That’s right, 59 goals scored in six games — an average of almost 10 per outing.
The Coyotes will put their winning streak on the line on Saturday with a road game versus the 3-0 Tottenham Steam.
Alliston is part of a growing, three-division league which now features 32 teams.
As for the high-scoring Coyotes, they are coached by 52-year old Jim Aldred, a former Ontario Hockey League grinder with the Soo Greyhounds.

Randy, I get the connection with the Coyotes with Aldred being a SOO boy, but why no love for the Northren teams in the G? Such as Temang, Almaguin, Sturgeon Falls ect? Would love to see a G Northren wrap up from time to time!
There will soon be coverage of Bracebridge, “Tink”. Enjoy, man.
