Indians sweep Green Bay
Michigan Soo Indians capped a perfect exhibition series weekend to begin the 2023-2024 hockey season today with a decisive 5-1 drubbing of the visiting Green Bay Bobcats.
Forward Deven Jones McDonald paced the Indians attack with a goal and three assists. A Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario product, Jones McDonald was an 11th round pick of the Oshawa Generals at the 2023 Ontario Hockey League priority selections draft from the Soo Jr. Greyhounds of the Great North Under 18 Hockey League.
The Indians began the weekend with a 5-3 win over Green Bay. The Indians will begin regular season play in the USA Under 18 Tier 1 Hockey Federation League on the road next weekend.
