McMillan Carpet sweeps up
Soo McMillan Carpet rolled to the novice major tier 1 division championship at this past weekend’s Soo Pee Wee Hockey League extravaganza tournament with a perfect 5-0 record.
During round robin play, McMillan Carpet scored victories over Soo Police, Copper Cliff Reds and DK Designs by respective scores of 6-4, 6-4 and 3-1.
McMillan Carpet then ousted Copper Cliff by a 6-3 margin in the semi-finals before upending DK Designs 7-3 in the championship match before an overflow crowd at Community First Soo Pee Wee Arena.
