As the playoff race continues in the North Division of the North American Hockey League, Soo Eagles will play host to the Michigan Warriors tonight (7:30) and Saturday evening (7:00) at Pullar Stadium.

The Eagles are in third place in the hotly-contested North Division with 49 points, just three points ahead of fourth-seeded Johnstown Tomahawks and only six points up on fifth-place Michigan.

Coach Moe Mantha’s Warriors have won four straight one-goal games to move to within three points of Johnstown for the fourth-and-final playoff spot in the North.

With a record of 24-21-1, the Eagles have 14 games to play in the regular season.

Riding the crest of a two-game road sweep of Johnstown last weekend, newly-acquired Soo goalie Chad Catt will make his Pullar Stadium debut for the Eagles tonight.

Catt, who stopped 48 of 53 shots against Johnstown to win his first two starts as an Eagle, is thrilled to be in the Soo after being obtained from the Aberdeen Wings at the February 6 NAHL trade deadline.

“I love it up here,” said Catt, who hails from Williamston, Michigan. “I am looking forward to doing my part to hopefully help the Eagles secure a playoff spot. This is an exciting time of the season.”
