Big left winger Alex Gilmour is having a big season thus far for the Pembroke Lumber Kings of the Central Canada Hockey League.

The 6-foot-5, 210-pound port-sider, who has a 1996 birth date, has 7 goals, 8 assists, 15 points in just 8 games for Pembroke, which is off to a so-so 3-4-1 start to the 2016-2017 season.

Now in his final season of junior, Gilmour hopes to soon land a Division 1, National Collegiate Athletic Association commitment.

And according to freelance hockey writer Sam Laskaris, Gilmour “is indeed generating interest now” from Division 1 schools.
