Playing with a shortened lineup due to injuries did not deter the Sault College Cougars from earning a weekend split of American Collegiate Hockey Association games with the big campus Michigan State Spartans.

After beginning the weekend home set with a 6-4 loss to Michigan State, Sault College rebounded with a 5-4 win over the Spartans. A goal by Gregory Trudeau-Paquet with 50 seconds to play in the third period gave the Cougars the win and improved their record to 10-12-1 on the season.

Trudeau-Paquet is part of Sault College’s high scoring first line that also features local products Caleb Wood and Ethan Esposito.

What you think about “Roar of the Cougars”

  1. Very solid effort both games against a very physical and talented team. With 13 skaters and 2 goalies the entire roster played their hearts out and that bodes well for us building our National Championship roster for next season. Very proud of these guys and our staff.
