Sault College men are 10-2
Nine straight victories have the Sault College Cougars roaring with a record of 10-2-0 through 12 games on the Division 2, American Collegiate Hockey Association schedule.
Up next for the Sault College men are two away games against the cross-river Lake Superior State University Lakers this Friday (7 p.m.) and Saturday (1:30 p.m.) at the Norris Centre in the Michigan Sault.
Ethan Esposito has been having an explosive season for the Cougars to date with 15 goals, six assists, 21 points. Nick Jameus is next with three goals, 15 assists, 18 points followed by Caleb Wood with 7-9-16 totals, Michael Chaffay with 5-11-16 numbers and Jackson Jacques with 5-9-14 statistics.
All are forwards with the exception of Jacques, who is a defenseman. And all have played in each of the Cougars 12 games with the exception of Wood who has skated in 10.
Between the pipes, Trennis Riley has been a workhorse among Sault College goalies with a 7-1-0 record, 2.77 goals against average and .909 save percentage.
