Sault College via Espanola
Leadership. Experience. Involvement. That is some of what defenseman Liam McDonald is poised to bring to the varsity men’s hockey team at Sault College effective the 2024-2025 season.
McDonald, who has a 2003 birth date, is currently the team captain for the Espanola Paper Kings of the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League. Sault College has confirmed McDonald’s commitment to the school and its hockey program for next season.
The 5-foot-10, 180 pound McDonald is in his third season in the NOJHL. He has also played for the Hearst Lumberjacks of the NOJHL.
In 33 games for Espanola this season, McDonald has two goals, five assists, seven points from his blue line position.
McDonald plans to study Electrical Engineering at Sault College in the fall.
