Two straight home ice wins have lifted the Sault High Blue Devils to an even mark with the Michigan high school hockey season approaching playoff time.

Sault High won a pair of weekend games at Big Bear Arena to improve its record to 4-4 on the season.

Wins over the Petoskey Northmen and Alpena Wildcats moved Sault High to the .500 level with freshman goalie Camden Labadie between the pipes for both of the triumphs.

The Blue Devils will finish off the 10-game regular season with a pair of matches this weekend — Friday night at home to the Escanaba Eskymos in a 7:00 tilt and Saturday afternoon at 12:30 in a road match at Petoskey against the Northmen.

Both games will be broadcast live on radio station Eagle 95.1 with Tim Ellis and Clayton Ellis on the microphones.

Following that, Sault High will move into the regional high school playoffs on Tuesday, March 16 at 7:00 p.m. in Tawas City. Eagle 95.1 will continue to follow the Blue Devils with play by play action via the Ellis broadcast brothers.
